Price insensitivity

I had a friend in the telecommunications industry tell me that effectively the same number of consumers will sign up for a service that costs $1.99 as one that costs $3.99 -- the take away is why charge 2$ when you can charge 4$

I love these little fascinating details associated with markets and marketing.
