Comedies are my favorite genre of movie and this movie is my winner of the year. It's almost as good as Meet the Parents and better than Knocked up and 40 Year Old Virgin. I won't tell you anything about it yet....just go see it.
Movie Recommendation: Man on Wire
I saw this film on Sunday with the entire family. It's a documentary film of a famous tight rope walker and his efforts to walk on a tightrope between the World Trade Centers in New York. It's an excellent film and really makes you wonder about art, the purpose of life, and human limitations. 3.5 stars out of 4.0
Movie review: Untraceable
I saw the new Diane Lane movie Untraceable last night. I feel weird saying it -- but this movie is good and worth seeing. It's not for the faint of heart or stomach. It's not a happy movie. But this movie is combination of a more disturbing version of Morgan Freeman's serial killer movie Seven with Jim Carrey's Truman show. The thesis surrounds a web site called killwithme.com. For each viewer of the website the person dies more quickly. Twisted but interesting concept. Check it out.
I know it's hard to believe that I saw a movie mid-week -- but I'm taking a couple days off with my older brother Larry.
Film Review: Peaceful Warrior
I saw the movie Peaceful Warrior this weekend. It's cheesy, pop spirituality and inspiration.... And I liked every minute of it ....or most minutes of it. The movie is the story of Dan Millman -- a star gymnast who gets in a motorcycle accident. It's a modern day version of karate kid -- but better. Rent it....watch it...let me know what you think. It's fun and thought provoking which is often my test for whether a movie is worth recommending.
